How To Automate List Building On Your Blog

Growing your list for me at least is probably the single most important bit in the jigsaw. It enables me to express myself  and sell myself. If you like reading my stuff, you’re more likely to take me seriously when I recommend a product or service. Providing I don’t bombard you with garbage by filling your inbox with useless shit, you’re going to want to hear what I gotta say, Well at least what I’m hoping, anyway…? Here are 3 ways I use on weekly, some daily basis.

Blogs are a great way to communicate with your current list and to try and find other like-minded readers and subscribers.  List building automation will help you do this, you’re trying to become part of a likeminded community, exchanging what works and what doesn’t!

First you will need to write content about your niche and post this on your blog. But let’s be clear blogging on its own doesn’t bring in new readers and subscribers, and make you any money (there are some lovely airy-fairy people out there that think its quite feasible to become a full time blogger and earn a living from it … and yes it is possible … but not just writing about ‘things’ and nothing else!!).

Now post some headlines on your twitter so that your followers check out your content, like it and join your lists. Then try and build up a relationship with your twitter subscribers asking them to tweet your blog posts to their followers offering to reciprocate their content to your list. Before you know it you will have lots of subscribers eagerly waiting for your next post.

SEO can bring you free traffic that you wouldn’t of otherwise got.

In other words, if you can get your keywords/content ration right, you’re onto a winner.

You could go out and pay heavily for some SEO and be very happy when your sites appears on Googles page 1. Well this is great … if it also makes you money! The selection of your search term is a critical aspect of SEO, get this wrong and time and effort will be used to get your search term raised up, to never be clicked on!

You need to figure out which searches give rise to sales, then you’re on to a winner.

It’s no good having some rare search term that few people will search on, or indeed one that has lots of traffic but that people rarely, if ever, buy from.

You now have a proven keyword that works but more importantly sells. Time to target your SEO around your findings.

Ebay

Ebay adds is very similar to Google adds where you pay for targeted advertise only on eBay it shows up after a search has been made on your topic.

The one great advantage that eBay offers then all other forms of advertising is that the people on their are ‘buyers’. They are on there to buy. Wallet in hand, ready to spend!

You can do this 2 ways…

  1. Write some sales copy and offer ‘buyers’ a way with links to your squeeze page where they have access to your free product.
  2. Again write some sales copy only this time send them to a page that gives them an overview of your product. If your product is a 50 page Ebook, then this may be a 10 page version. The 10 page version is Free and gets them on your list. If they like your stuff they will buy your 50 page Ebook. This will not only increase your list but get some cash in your pocket. If they don’t not a problem, the objective here is to grow your list – you will have plenty of time to sell to them later…

If you have list building automation working for you in just these 3 areas, with a good email campaign, gaining followers, you will be putting some money back in your pocket.
