If you don’t have the correct mindset then you will fail – that’s guaranteed
It doesn’t matter how your life has been so far, neither does it matter what story your past tells – all that matters is now. Change can happen in an instant. Making changes, even really big ones, can be much less scary than you might imagine. All you need is to ‘just do it’, make the changes, starting right now.
If you don’t have the inner belief that you will be whom you would like to become then STOP HERE! There are many resources that you can apply to help your self development, if you’re not mentally ready for this, you will struggle. I will be sharing some of what’s on offer here, any time soon.
Our beliefs are views about ourselves, other people and situations that we hold to be true. They are emotionally held views not based on fact. They are feelings of certainty that we have about something. For example, if you believe that you are attractive to the opposite sex, what you’re actually saying is that you feel attractive, your demeanour will express this. You will be confident around the opposite sex and they will find you attractive because of this. You don’t have to be Brad Pitt to be attractive, you just have to think you are!
Our beliefs are often held in the deepest levels of our unconscious mind. They are strongly influenced by the behavior of the significant people in our lives, most frequently our parents, before the age of 7. One way to unravel your limiting beliefs is to reflect on your parents’ attitude’ towards relationships, money, sex etc. You may be unconsciously modeling them or rebelling against their behavior.
If you set a goal for yourself that is not in alignment with your beliefs, how successful do you think you will be in achieving it? For example, your goal is to set up your own business and you have researched everything thoroughly. You have the skills and capabilities to be successful. However you believe at a deep unconscious level that you are not good enough to have what you want. What impact will that have on your goal? It will sabotage your focus from the start.
What if you were to align with your beliefs to your goal right now?
Imagine for a moment that you have already reached the professional status that you seek .
You live in the house of your dreams, drive the car that you crave, dress and feel like a celebrity. Pause for a moment, close your eyes, how do you feel….?
That feeling needs to become your reality, not just in our short time together but always.
I guarantee that your journey towards your goal will suddenly feel easier.
New opportunities will present themselves that had passed you by before, your goal would feel like a certainty for the first time in your life. It’s totally possible, and you just have to take the first step and be honest with yourself about what has held you back until now.
Write down your limiting beliefs and look at them now, stare at them get fixated with them even go to sleep with them. When you awake, time to let them go, write down your new beliefs and set light to the old. Pin your new beliefs on your wall, fridge and in your purse. Put pictures of houses, cars, and jewelry that you want in your life around your home, car, office and where ever you can. We are what we think, start believing, you’re a somebody now.
