Over the last few years the internet and its users have changed significantly. And as the internet and its users change so must internet marketers.
Now you’ve probably heard “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.”
Well that old way of thinking needs to be thrown out the window because it’s not true.
Just watch this video to see the Myth Busters prove that some old dogs can learn new tricks.
You’ve also probably heard Bert Lance’s quote, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”
While this statement may be true for a lot of things the statement, “If it is broke, fix it” is true for everything.
And last but not least we’ve all heard Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity, “Doing the same thing over again and expecting different results.”
To be a savvy online business person you must believe these 3 things:
1. If the things you are doing for your online business aren’t getting the results you want and you just keep doing them … (do I have to say it?)
2. If the things you are doing for your online business aren’t getting the results you want then something is broke and you need to fix it.
3. If the things you are doing for your online business aren’t getting the results you want you are not too old to learn or try something new.
In other words –
As the internet changes so must your online marketing efforts. Enjoy your successes but always be prepared to modify or change your methods when they no longer work. And most importantly, keep learning.
